A message from the founder of EASY MEASURE, Dr Mike Puddephat:
20 years ago, I built a computer interface for the convenient application of stereological methods called EASY MEASURE. Since then, the software has been widely used by research groups, mainly for the unbiased estimation of volume using the Cavalieri method.
Although still actively used, that application has become dated and so, 12 months ago I began work to rebuild EASY MEASURE as a modern, web based, medical imaging platform and I am happy to announce that version 1 of the new platform will launch on 1st August.
The new platform provides quick, secure and reliable access to all of your images and stereology from any device (phone, tablet, laptop or desktop PC), while the image viewer supports simultaneous viewing of axial, coronal and sagittal sections for a complete appreciation of 3D anatomy while point counting.
Going forward, there is an exciting roadmap of work to bring more stereology and new technologies to the platform, such as Magnetic Resonance Elastography to measure the stiffness of body tissues and Deep Learning algorithms to automatically detect anatomical structures.
